Kierstan Peck from the Washington County Obesity Task Force talks about “Footloose Fridays” starting next week in Washington.
Asian Carp are in Iowa. You’ve probably seen the video of fish jumping out of the water, sometimes into boats, sometimes hitting people. But other than being a danger to boaters and skiers, the fish hurt populations of sport fish. Chad Dolan, Fisheries Biologist at Lake Darling State Park, tells us about the carp and how they disrupt the food chain.
Tune in Monday, we’ll hear more from Chad, this time about the breeding habits of the Asian Carp, and how it could be their own undoing.
