The Washington County Fair Swine Committee is offering a production barrow division again for this year’s county fair. Amy Green, 4-H and Youth Coordinator with the Washington County Extension says this is an opportunity for those in 4-H to show production barrows at the Washington County Fair.
She says a beginning weight will be taken for them, and will be weighed again during the fair this summer and they will take a rate of gain on the hogs. Green says up to 6 hogs can be entered and they cannot weigh over 45 pounds.
The barrow weigh in will be Saturday, March 24th from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. To find out more information regarding the production barrow weigh in, contact the Washington County Extension.
