The Washington County Democratic Convention took place at the Old Public Library yesterday at noon. After choosing to allow everyone in the room to be a delegate, the participants heard from various Democrats seeking office at a number of levels of government. A representative of Dave Loebsack thanked those in attendance for their support.
Then Rich Taylor, a Mt. Pleasant man running for State Senate in District 42, talked about what he hopes to do at the statehouse. Two Democrats running for County Supervisor Positions talked about their issues with the current supervisors, and what they plan to do for Washington County as well.
