The Riverside City Council met last night, and at the meeting funding for TrekFest was discussed, among other things. Carol Riggan with the Riverside Area Community Club requested $918 for TrekFest. TrekFest is held in Riverside, which is the birthplace of the fictional Captain Kirk of the Star Trek series. It will be held June 29th and 30th this year. They also held a public hearing for the vacation of Lot 7, Block 1 and heard an update on the hiring of a Deputy City Clerk. The meeting was last night at 6:30 in Riverside City Hall.
