High school seniors that want to study agriculture or natural resources in college have until the end of the day today to apply for the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District and Dean Gerot family Scholarship.  Teresa Munn with the Soil and Water Conservation District says these are annual scholarships given to Iowa High School seniors that will be used for their first year of college education.  The winning applicant will receive a $1000 scholarship with regional winners receiving $300 and three scholarships will be awarded on the state level as well.

The deadline is today for applications to be submitted.  Interested high school Seniors living in Washington County can contact their high school guidance office or the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District for more information.
