Students from Mid-Prairie Middle and Washington Junior High Schools took part in an event yesterday that capped off a year’s worth of financial study and career exploration.  A Financial Literacy Fair, sponsored by Workplace Learning Connection was held at Hamakua Place.  Kelli Lindemann, student from Mid-Prairie chose to be an equine vet and was shares her results.

Lindemann was also able to talk to a financial advisor about what to do with the extra funds.

Jennifer Ott, Program Coordinator with Workplace Learning Connection says the information learned will be helpful in the students’ futures.

Ott says these events will be held in a total of five counties and over 3400 students will get the chance to participate.
