The Salvation Army has put out two top ten lists for donations from last year’s giving campaign and three communities in southeast Iowa appear.  Volunteer Coordinator Deb McCreedy says Washington has made the list for the first time and was ranked number eight for the overall dollar amount given in the Heartland Divisional Headquarters.  The total of the donations received in Washington was over $12,000.

Also making it in the top ten in giving was Fairfield who ranks number four with almost $20,000 in giving.

For communities whose donations rank in the top ten of per capita giving, Sigourney makes the list at number six.  McCreedy says all of donations received stay in the communities in which they were given.  The top city in terms of dollar amount and per capita giving is Independence.
