The Washington City Council met last night and held discussion regarding assessments to the Washington County Treasurer.  The Council passed a resolution to allow a total of $475 to be assessed to two properties in the city of Washington.

The Council also held discussion regarding a planning and zoning recommendation on Hamakua Place.  This recommendation would be to use pre-existing space in the building as an emergency shelter.

An engineering services agreement with Veenstra and Kimm, Inc. was entered regarding the Phase Two of the Highland Avenue Drainage Project.

They passed a resolution regarding the 2012 seal coat project as well.  A public hearing will be held at 6:00 April 4th and bids for this project are due by 9:00 on April 12th.  The bids will be awarded during the April 18th Council meeting.
