Students at the Washington High School were greeted by a visitor during a special assembly yesterday afternoon.  Bruce Vincent is a third-generation logger from Montana who encouraged the students to get involved in the discussion of the future of agriculture in Iowa.

He says farmers in southeast Iowa can get involved by contacting their associations in which they are involved to have research continue as well as lead the discussion of how to protect the environment to maintain their way of life to continue to feed the world.

Vincent travels the country giving these presentations of how the logging industry is beneficial to farmers and the environment.  After his visit to Washington, he traveled to address the residents of Williamsburg.
