KCII has been recognized by the Iowa Broadcast News Association for some of its work in news reporting for last year.

The station received two awards from the trade group. The IBNA presented these awards to all broadcast media across the entire state Saturday evening.

The awards won were for coverage of last year’s shooting of Keokuk County Sheriff Deputy Eric Stein and for local reaction to the death of Osama Bin Laden.
