It’s another busy day around southeast Iowa as golf, track, and soccer teams have reached the midway part of their respective seasons.

The WMU boys and girls’ track teams host their invitational tonight.  The Columbus boys and both teams from Waco will be there.  Mid-Prairie girls host the Hawk Relays today as Columbus Community’s Heaven Chandler looks to continue her strong season for the Wildcats.  The Sigourney boys’ track team heads to the Ike Ryan Relays hosted by Eddyville-Blakesburg.  Highland sends their two teams to Louisa-Muscatine along with Lone Tree’s track teams while the Washington girls look for a good showing as Case Field in the Washington Invite.

In golf today, the Mid-Prairie Tournament gets underway as the girls team hosts the event in Kalona.  Lone Tree faces Mediapolis at Hi Point.  Columbus travels to Indian Hills to meet Wapello, Sigourney travels to Iowa Valley and IMS squares off against Waco.

The Mid-Prairie boys’ soccer team looks to even their record at 3-3 when they travel to Albia.  IMS will go for their fourth-straight shutout and try to improve to 5-0 when they host 4-2 Highland while the Washington boys look to shake off a tough 13-5 loss on Tuesday at Keokuk as they go for their first win in another road contest as Ft. Madison opens up their home schedule after starting the season 2-2.
