The scholarship application deadline is approaching for those wanting to pursue a degree or certificate in a horticultural related field.  These scholarships will be awarded to those who will be attending college or university in Iowa.  Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says a $500 Horticultural scholarship is being offered to Washington County residents by the Washington County Master Gardeners.

She says graduating high school seniors and all residents returning to school are eligible to apply.  The applications can be found at any Washington County high school as well as the Extension Office.  Adrian notes the applications are due by the 16th and should be sent to her attention at the Washington County Extension Office.
