The annual audit report of the Washington Community School District has been released and the report shows the district did not overspend its budget last year.  According to Nolte, Cornman & Johnson, P.C. based in Newton who performed the audit, the district’s revenues increased almost two million dollars and even though expenditures also increased, it was at a smaller amount.

These increases were attributed to gains in local and state sources in fiscal year 2011.  The report also mentions the district’s general fund having an increased balance of over 1,200 percent over fiscal year 2010.  To see the entire budget, look at the link here.
