The Demon boys’ golf team is in action for the first time this season at home as they host Ft. Madison and Mt. Pleasant at Washington Golf and Country Club. After a state runner-up appearance last season and with many of those players back this year, the Demon team certainly has set lofty goals this season and head coach Mark Berhow is looking forward to seeing what his guys can do on their home course and encourages people to come out and watch some quality golf.
“People that come out should be able to see some very good golf. It’s good to be at our home course and I think we’re looking forward to seeing how we shoot at home. We’ll be out there at about 4:00. It should be a good night for it and I think we’ll be ready to play.”
The Demon girls’ golf coach Leonard Kull joined the PM Sports Page yesterday as well as his team gets set to travel to Davenport tonight to face Davenport West and Burlington.
“This will be a new experience for most of them. I expect the girls to play as well as they can for as long as they can and let the chips fall where they may. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to test ourselves against some pretty good competition.”
