The Iowa Department of Transportation has announced a bridge closure in rural Keokuk County.  According to Washington and Keokuk County Emergency Manager Larry Smith, Highway 92 is closed between County Road V33 near Delta and Highway 149 in Sigourney.  He says the closure was put in place by IDOT because of a problem with the bridge deck.

Smith says the length of the closure is unknown at this time.  The detour runs from Highway 149 at Sigourney to Highway 21 near Hedrick back to Highway 92 near Delta.  KCII will follow this story and bring you more information when it becomes official.
