With high gas prices and nice weather outside, you may be looking for ways to save. Ron Schull with Ross Auto and Muffler gave us some tips to keep your gas costs down. He says there is no magical solution for getting better gas mileage, its all about routine maintenance.

He says a routine tune up can keep you car in shape. Spark plugs need to be replaced, and fuel filters that are restrictive need to be replaced as well.

Schull says tune-ups don’t need to be done as often as they were in the past. New spark plugs last much longer than the old ones, so tune-ups don’t need to be done every year. He says some simple things like making sure your tires are fully inflated will save money on gas as well.
