A local quilt show that attracts visitors from around the country had another successful year.
It was the 41st annual Kalona Quilt Show and Sale put on by Woodin Wheel. The event showcases quilts that were made over the winter. According to Katie Karnes with Woodin Wheel, what sets this quilt show apart from the rest is that they are all handmade.
She notes that they get visitors from all over the the United States as well as some from foreign countries. The show was held at the Kalona Community Center, where its been held for all 41 years of the quilt show.
