At the previous city council meeting in Keota, some citizens expressed their concerns with junk in residents’ yards. That concern was addressed at Monday’s meeting. Officer Conrad with the Police Department said they have sent out letters to the addresses in question, and the residents have a set time to clean up their yard. After that time expires the police will discuss the issue with the residents.

The council also set a date for pool cleaning. The city will be cleaning the pool on the 14th and request that volunteers interested in helping with the cleaning contact city hall. They also approved an application for Riverboat Foundation grants for improvements to the library.
