The Washington School Board met last night to discuss work for the 1918 building as part of their meeting. After no comment was received during a public hearing, the Board decided to reject all bids that were currently submitted.  New bids are being accepted until May 1st with the bids being opened 11:00 that morning.  There will be a special meeting following at noon to approve the winning bid.

Also during the meeting, the use of the Stewart West building was discussed and it was decided that the preschool will continue to be housed in that building next year.

The Board also approved a request from a University of Iowa PhD student to conduct a survey of how certain things affect students.  This study will be voluntary for students 18 years old and older and the results will remain anonymous.
