The sign up period for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) that was supposed to end tomorrow has been extended.  Bill Bartenhagen, Executive Director of the Washington County FSA Office says the US Department of Agriculture sponsors this program.

Bartenhagen notes contracts can run from 10 to 15 years depending on the practice.  As for number of acres currently in the program…
