The Iowa State University Extension is getting set to educate area farmers about farming methods that can help them throughout the year tomorrow.  The Extension’s annual spring field day will present farmers with information on how to effectively use cover crops.  ISU Field Agronomist Jim Fawcett says cover crops are planted in the fall and spring to keep soil healthy and productive all year.  He says one popular cover crop is rye.
