Fifth through 12th graders have an opportunity to take part in a poultry project again this summer. Amy Green with the Washington County Extension says the Iowa State Fair is offering those involved in 4-H a chance to exhibit market broilers.
She adds the birds will be shipped to a member’s home in late June. Each participant will then exhibit one pen of five broilers during the State Fair. The cost is $68 for an order of 50 birds. The application deadline is June 1st.
