Stringtown grocery is making steps to open a new store.

The site proposed to the Johnson County Board of Supervisors would be next to the existing store. Eldon Schlabach owns the current store and his son will open the new store if the site is approved.  If everything goes smoothly the old store will be used for storage and a personal office. The Board of Supervisors will have to approve of the location. They vote on Thursday.
