The Washington Tree Committee is having its annual tree giveaway tomorrow. Committee member Marde McConnell says they have 125 trees of different varieties and sizes.  She says three varieties that are considered small trees, three are considered medium and they have four that are larger trees.

McConnell says specific information about all of the trees can be found at Washington City Hall and the library.  The Tree Committee encourages everyone to contact Iowa One Call before planting the trees.

The tree giveaway begins promptly at 8:00 tomorrow morning on the square.  McConnell adds this year marks the Committee’s 22nd year in giving away trees.
