There was plenty of action on the tracks around the southeast Iowa area on Tuesday night. WACO hosted the Warrior Relays that featured several area schools in action. The Sigourney boys’ took the top spot, edging Wapello by three points. Lone Tree finished in third just ahead of host WACO while Highland and WMU tied for the seventh spot in the meet.
First place finishers included Lone Tree’s Riley Stumpf in the 400 (53.15) and Waco’s Christian Roth in the 110 hurdles (15.72). Sigourney took first in the 4×100 and the 1600 spring medley while Lone Tree edged Wapello in the 4×400. Waco brought home the win in both the 4×800 and 4×110 shuttle hurdles. See full results here.

The Keota boys’ track team placed fifth at the BGM Invitational Tuesday night. Trevor Draisey finished in first in the 1600 (4:51) and was part of the first place 4×800 relay team that included Kolton Greiner, Luke Lyle, and Casey Sieren, who finished in the top spot in the 110 hurdles (16.10).

The Washington Demon girls’ track team finished in sixth place at Mt. Pleasant last night in the class A division. The Demon’s lone top-three finish came in the 4×400 as Regan Enfield, Stephanie Fishback, Lauren Kimball, and Mariah Reighard posted a time of 4:15:50, good enough for 2nd place.
