The Washington City Council met last night and discussed construction projects within the city as part of their meeting.  Discussion was held regarding the 2012 seal coat project.  This project will be to allow different amounts of coating on the streets based on traffic flow.  The bids for this project will be due April 12th.

The Council also talked about the authorization of a final payment for the Tienda La Cruz Building demolition.  The final cost for this part of that project was a little over $156,000.

A public hearing date has been set for the next meeting regarding the update to the West Side Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Improvement project.  This hearing is required by the Community Development Block Grant to notify the public of the money spent on the project so far.  The public hearing will be April 18th at 6:00.

An engineering services agreement with Veenstra and Kimm for reconstruction of South Avenue E was also entered.  Bids for this project will be accepted at a later date.
