An area high school student has received a scholarship toward their studies in an agricultural-related major.  Sarah Altenhofen of Wellman has been awarded a $1500 scholarship by the Iowa Soybean Association.  She plans to pursue a degree in agriculture engineering at Iowa State University.

Altenhofen is one of ten recipients of the scholarship in the state.  Iowa Soybean Association President Dean Coleman says they provide these scholarships as a way to help “give agriculture a continuing pool of potential young leaders.”
