A two vehicle accident yesterday in Louisa County has injured four people.  According to the Iowa State Patrol, the teenage driver was driving northbound on Louisa-Washington Road, failed to yield upon crossing Highway 92 and was struck by the vehicle driven by 69 year old David Donelson of Blue Grass.

The teenage driver’s vehicle came to rest in the north ditch where Donelson’s vehicle ended in the south ditch. The teenage driver and their teenage passenger along with Donelson and his wife appeared to have non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the University of Iowa Hospital.

Others responding to the scene were Columbus Junction and Letts Ambulances, Columbus Junction Fire Department, Columbus Junction Police Department and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Department.  The accident remains under investigation and KCII will bring you more information when it becomes official.
