The Iowa Farm Service Agency is warning area farmers that the deadline for reporting your acreage is coming up soon. Farmers and ranchers that want to take advantage of the various programs offered by the FSA should have their acreage report in the county office by June 30th. For crops enrolled in programs other than the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program or NAP have to be certified by the deadline.
Acreage reports on crops covered by NAP are due in 15 calendar days before the beginning of harvest or grazing of the crop being reported. For more information on crop reporting and FSA’s programs contact your local FSA office.
