Alliant Energy is warning customers to beware of a potential scam.  Alliant spokesman Scott Drzycimski says they have received reports from customers about calls being made by individuals claiming to be Alliant Energy representatives and the customer’s account is delinquent and full payment is needed to avoid disconnection.

He says while they will work with customers to make payment arrangements, they will not collect payments in person at a customer’s home or place of business.  Drzycimski adds if anyone has concerns about the call claiming to come from Alliant Energy to contact them at 1-800-ALLIANT.
