The 14th annual “Recovered Bike Auction” is being held in conjunction with Ridiculus Day on Saturday.  Washington Optimist Club member Don Pfeiffer says the bikes in this auction come from the city’s bike shed that have not been claimed in the last year.  He adds this year over 50 bicycles will be at the auction.

Pfeiffer says they have many brand name bikes in good condition that can be ridden away that day such as Roadmaster, Raleigh, Schwinn, Magna, Next and Huffy.  He says the sizes range from child’s to adult bikes.

The bikes will be available for viewing starting at 8:30 Saturday morning with the auction starting at 9:30.  The proceeds from the bike sale benefit the Washington Police Department and the Washington Optimist Club.
