The Washington County Board of Supervisors talked about budgets as part of their meeting yesterday.  There was a public hearing at 10:00 regarding a budget amendment to this year’s budget.  Bobbie Wulf, Washington County’s Central Point of Coordination and Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius explained about different revenues and expenses happening with this year’s budget.

The mental health and transportation budgets will have almost $26,000 in revenues and a total of $227,000 in expenses.  This hearing was followed by a resolution approval to adjust these appropriations.

There was a resolution passed to abate $174 of property taxes from July 2010 to December of last year.

The Supervisors decided to reject the bid for the Orchard Hill Building 1 project.  The next step in the process will be to remove some of the items in the project to make the bid fall within the budget.  A bid letting date will be set for a future meeting with the project to be completed before the end of the year.
