The Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed proposed plans for the remodeling of Orchard Hill Building #1 as part of their meeting yesterday.  This project would entail moving the Head Start operations, HACAP offices and food pantry to the new location says Jane Drapeaux from HACAP.  Funding for this project is coming from a state grant through Iowa Finance Authority as well as matching funds from Washington County and HACAP.  The bids for this project will be opened during next week’s meeting and will be awarded the following week on the 29th.

A bid letting date was established for a Secondary Roads grading project as well.  This will be for approximately 5.75 miles of 105th Street from Gingko to Larch Avenue.  The bids for this project are due by 9:00 on Monday, June 4th and will be awarded during the Supervisors meeting that day.

An acknowledgement of a confinement feeding operation construction took place as well.  This will be for a new building at 2679 220th Street.
