With the approach of Memorial Day weekend, people may be considering incorporating water activities as part of their schedule.  Jeff Steers, Aquatics Director at the Washington Y says there are steps everyone can do to stay safe around water.  He says to follow all pool and lifeguard safety rules.

Parents should stay close to their children when in the pool as well.  Steers adds when visiting the pool at the Y, or any pool, to use common sense and to follow all of the posted rules to have fun in a safe manner
