The Washington Demon Softball team travels to Fairfield tonight for a soggy doubleheader. The Demons are 4-0 on the season winning three off of the 10 run rule.Fairfield is 3-1 winning their first three and then dropping game two of a double header to Eddieville- Blakesburg.

Demon head coach Angie Shrader says she does not know much about Fairfield as they are a young team. She did add that they are usually good with bunts and slap hits, and that her team will be ready and prepared for those.

Haley Grunwald for Fairfield has a 2.92 ERA and 11 strikeouts on the season for Fairfield in two appearances.

The Demon pitching squad of Ashley Rausch and Maddie Bohr have a combined ERA of 1.33 and have held opponents to hitting just .172.

Shrader says her pitchers are interchangeable, and that it doesn’t matter who starts as she trusts them to get the job done with good defense behind them.
