The Johnson County Board of Supervisors will decide whether or not to approve a site location for a new Stringtown Grocery this week.

According to Terrance Neuzil the majority of the board is for it, but there are a couple of conditions. Since there’s only a chip seal road in front of the proposed location, the owner of Stringtown will need to have money ready if the county ever decides to improve the road services.

Another condition is that the owner will be required to pay for any maintenance on the road, to ensure safe travel for all customers. Neuzil hopes that if the location is approved, more businesses will be interested in the area. The board votes tomorrow.
