A number of things were covered at Mondays City Council meeting in Kalona. Jenelle Bender was appointed to fill the vacancy on the council.  The Budget Amendment for 2011-2012 was approved.  Cemetery deed requests were approved for Janet L. Novy and for Barbara Morgan. The liquor license for Tuscan Moon Grill on Fifth was renewed. Also a discussion was held on FEMA mapping, something that’s done at every meeting.
