An area 4-H club is practicing part of the 4-H pledge by helping other clubs in Iowa who were affected by severe storms last summer.  Amy Green, Washington County 4‑H/Youth Coordinator says the fundraising efforts from the 76 Progressives Club along with funds from other Washington County 4-H clubs plus a 2012 Pioneer Rural Community Improvements Grant helped members purchase trees to be planted in two different counties.

Six 4-H members and three adults planted trees at the Benton and Jasper County Fairgrounds the past two weekends.
