The Iowa legislature ended their session last week and a local elected official is sharing their thoughts about the events that happened in Des Moines.  [simage=1598,400,n,center]

Representative Jarad Klein from Keota says the last few weeks were busy to try and end the session on time.  He says debates and budget bills slowed that process down.

Representative Klein says the only piece of unfinished legislation has to do with property tax reform. He notes Governor Branstad might call a special session to deal with that issue.

All of the bills that were passed last week have been sent to Governor Branstad where he has 30 days to review them before signing them into law.
