A ceremony was held yesterday morning to honor those who have lost their lives at sea. American Legion Post 29 in Washington led a ceremony to honor Sailors and Marines at the Crooked Creed Bridge on old Highway 92.  Many members of the public took part in this observance.

Those in attendance also had an opportunity to toss flowers in Crooked Creek to remember those lost.  This ceremony was held in conjunction with a flag raising ceremony at the Post Office earlier in the morning followed by a ceremony for all veterans at Elm Grove Cemetery.
