There will be area ceremonies tomorrow as part of Memorial Day.  Ron Northup with the American Legion Riders Post 29 says in Washington, there will be a flag raising ceremony at the Post Office at 8:00 followed by a Memorial Day Ceremony honoring Sailors and Marines at 8:30 at the Crooked Creek Bridge on old Highway 92.  There will also be ceremony for all veterans at Elm Grove Cemetery tomorrow morning at 10:00.

In Ainsworth, the American Legion Post 351 is sponsoring a program that will start at 10 tomorrow morning in the Ainsworth School Gym. The program will continue at Oregon Township Cemetery. The program will feature guest speaker The Reverend Dr. Dan McClure of Washington.  McClure is a retired Army Colonel.

Also for Memorial Day, members of the Ainsworth Legion raised the Community’s Avenue of Flags at 9 this morning.
