Nice weather and a long Memorial Day weekend means many Iowans are hitting the road.  Trooper Jason Marlow with the Iowa State Patrol in Mt. Pleasant says there will be more traffic on the roads like any other holiday.  He hopes those traveling will not speed or drink and drive.

Trooper Marlow says the biggest thing you can do to be safe is to avoid distracted driving.  He adds if you have an opportunity to switch drivers, to do so to prevent fatigue as well.

Marlow says when driving to keep a safe driving distance and not drive too fast for conditions.
