The Mid-Prairie School Board is awaiting a committee’s suggestion, before deciding on what to do with the central office.

Originally the board wanted to renovate the existing central office, but after considering the cost of restoring the 40 year old building they decided that wasn’t the way to go. A community committee was put together to look at all of the options. According to Superintendent Mark Schneider the committee should have a recommendation by mid summer. The board has been approached by the American Legion, showing interest in using the central office. Liability and logistical issues will be addressed before the board moves forward.
