The Mid-Prairie girls golf team will play the at the Cedar Valley conference golf meet tonight in Muscatine. Head coach Tracy McArtor says that he is not worried about playing on the course, because the Golden Hawks home course is tough. He added that all of the teams in the conference are within about a five stroke average for the team total, which will make it hard for any predictions.

“I really think it is anybodies meet to win,” McArtor says. “WE’ve played every team in the conference at some point in the season, and we’ve beat all of them at least once, and we’ve been beat by a couple as well.”

After the conference meet tonight, the Golden Hawks will host the district meet at home in Kalona and see all of the same teams that they see tonight. McArtor says he likes the idea of seeing them twice.

“It’s going to be interesting because getting the conference meet in tomorrow with the same eight teams that are going to come back to Kalona for the district meet on Monday might give us a pretty good handle on how things are going to play out for the district site.”
