The Mid-Prairie Community School board was recently given a review of the visit made by the Iowa Department of Education.

The team that did the site visit in February was made up of two people from the Department of Education, area educators and some administrators from Highland, Clear Creek and Washington.

The site visit involved going over documents prepared by Mid-Prairie as well as performing interviews with different groups of people. The goal of the visit was to find common themes that the interviewees talked about.

Superintendent Mark Schneider says that some of the positive feedback they received involved the courses they offer and the cooperation they have with the community. According to Schneider they will take all the suggestions they were given and prioritize them by importance.
