Two incidents involving 4 cars caused some delays yesterday on HW 218 near the Hills exit.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the first accident happened after 5 yesterday afternoon when a driver going southbound on 218 suffered a seizure, went off the road, struck the cable barrier, and came to rest in Crooked Creek.
While the State Patrol was handling that situation, a driver that didn’t notice traffic that had accrued due to the first incident, ran into two stopped vehicles. The driver of that vehicle was injured along with one of the drivers that were struck. The driver who suffered the seizure was injured as well as their passenger; all four were brought to the University of Iowa Hospital.
