A new aquatics director has started at the Washington Y.  Jeff Steers comes to Washington from Kokomo, Indiana where he started as a lifeguard and worked his way up to an “unofficial acting assistant aquatics director.”  Steers started working in at the Washington Y on April 1st and has enjoyed getting to meet the people of Washington.

He says all of the current programs are currently remaining, but new programs will be coming this summer.  Steers says he has a passion for water activities and the Y’s Aquatics Department is the right place for that passion.

He notes he is looking forward to getting to know the residents of Washington County more as he takes on this new role.
