There is still time to join a local business in helping hospital stays be more comfortable for sick children. The Washington Wal-Mart’s annual fund raising drive to help support the Children’s Miracle Network is in progress. Sarah Adkins, with the Children’s Miracle Network at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital says the money raised helps to fund research, special size equipment for the children, educational material for the parents, and enhancements to make the hospital visit enjoyable.
She says the Washington Wal-Mart raised over $13,000 during this campaign and adds last year they came in sixth place out of the 75 stores in the Network’s market. Adkins says all of the funds raised go to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. The fund raising campaign runs through June 15th.
