Verna Weaver

Funeral Services for 92 year old Verna Weaver of Kalona are 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 29 at the Perry Bender residence at 2710 560th St. S.W. in rural Kalona. Burial is in the Peter Miller Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on today and will continue all day Monday at the Perry Bender residence. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Demon’s Golf fifth at State

The Demon’s golf team is sitting in fifth at the State Golf meet with a score of 329. The leaders after day one is Decorah with a team score of 308.

Alex Thode is leading the Demons in scoring with a day one score of 78, followed by Brock Kimball with a 79, Connor Davey at 85, Ryan Waite with an 87, and Jake Redlinger and Dillon de Perrot both shot 88’s.

The Demons play round two today, KCII will have full results on Monday with the local sports page.

Demons Improve to 4-0 on the Season Winning Two over Ft. Madison
