The tradition of Ridiculous Day is being hosted by the Washington Chamber this year and there are many activities happening throughout the day. Michelle Peiffer with the Chamber says this event has been going on in the community for 65 years and this year’s focus will be concentrating on expanding the businesses that participate. She says one new event will be a pancake breakfast being served by the Washington Fire Department which will serve as a fundraiser for future Ridiculous Day events.
Peiffer says all retailers in Washington are encouraged to take part during the day as well. Throughout the morning, other events will be happening including a princess contest, ducks in the fountain and the day will end with a parade.
The breakfast starts at 7:00 Saturday morning and to see a full schedule, look under the Station Events page.
